Installation angle for the AI alarm camera
The detect angle for the AI camera is about 90 degrees, and the detection distance is within 8 meters. So the recommended installation height is NOT higher than 3–4 meters — 3 m / 10 ft will be better — and the recommended angle is transversely mounted to the detection area. (Make the detection area a sector area as the picture below shows.)

The AI alarm camera is a smart camera that measures the objects in its field of view. It works entirely by detecting the shape of objects. Normally it only alarms when it detects people, or something that looks like people.
About the AI alarm camera with floodlight

- The video image is black/white in darkness when there is no suspicious movement.
- It shines a light on suspicious activity with 2 IR-activated ultra-bright floodlights and records colour video for that unexpected movement.
- An instant phone app alert is pushed when any suspicious movement is detected.
The camera has a built-in 3MP AI chip — you will get an instant alert from the phone app or email when any suspicious human activities are detected by the camera. The camera has built-in IR LEDs and floodlight LEDs. The IR LED automatically switches on when ambient light is insufficient and creates clear black/white videos. The floodlight turns on automatically (in the darkness) ONLY when any human activities are caught on camera, and then plays or records colour video about the unexpected activities. (The floodlight will NOT turn on in the daytime.)
