YESKAMO app vs EseeCloud — which one does my camera use?

If you just bought a YESKAMO camera and aren't sure whether to install the YESKAMO app or EseeCloud, you're not alone. Newer YESKAMO products use the YESKAMO app, while many older cameras and NVR kits pair with EseeCloud. Installing the wrong one is the most common reason a device "won't add."

Tested with the YESKAMO app v4.9.7 (June 2026).

The quick answer

• YESKAMO app — the current app for newer YESKAMO cameras and Wi-Fi NVR kits.
• EseeCloud — the app many older YESKAMO models were shipped to use.

How to tell which app you need

1. Check the manual or quick-start card. Look for a line like "Search and download YESKAMO" or "Search and download EseeCloud." This is the most reliable signal.
2. Look at the box and stickers. The app name or a QR code linking to the right store listing is often printed there.
3. Match the purchase date. Recently purchased kits usually use the YESKAMO app; cameras that are a few years old often use EseeCloud.
4. Try adding the device. If your Cloud ID and device password are accepted in one app but rejected in the other, you have your answer.

What if my device is in the wrong app?

The two apps share similar add-device flows (Scan to add, Camera hotspot add, Add manually with Cloud ID + password, default user admin), so switching is straightforward:

1. Note your Cloud ID and device password from the device or its label.
2. Install the app your manual specifies.
3. Sign in or register, then add the device with the matching method.

You don't need to factory-reset the camera just to switch apps — the device password stays the same.
