YESKAMO camera setup — add your first camera
Step-by-step YESKAMO camera setup using QR scan, Cloud ID, or camera hotspot to add your first camera in the app.
This guide covers a first-time YESKAMO camera setup: getting the app ready, then adding your camera with whichever method fits your model. Most Wi-Fi and battery cameras use Scan to add (QR) or Camera hotspot add; standalone or LAN cameras can also be added by Cloud ID.
Tested with the YESKAMO app v4.9.7 (June 2026) on iOS and Android.
1. Prepare the app and camera
- Install and open the YESKAMO app, then create or sign in to an account so your device list syncs across phones. See Download the YESKAMO app if you haven't yet.
- Power on the camera and wait for the boot voice prompt (often "Ready to connect"). If it's silent, reset it by holding the reset button until it announces it's resetting.
- Tap the + (Add device) button on the app home screen.
2. Choose an add method
Scan to add (QR) — Tap + → Scan to add, then point your phone at the QR code on the camera body or its box. The app reads the Cloud ID automatically. This is the fastest method for most cameras.
Camera scan code — Some models flip it around: the app shows a QR code on your phone screen and you hold it in front of the camera lens until it beeps.
Camera hotspot add — For Wi-Fi cameras with no Ethernet port:
- Tap + → Camera hotspot add.
- Join the camera's temporary hotspot when prompted (name usually starts with IPC or the model number).
- Return to the app, enter your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi name and password, and let the camera reboot onto your network.
Add manually (Cloud ID) — If you have the device's Cloud ID and password:
- Tap + → Add manually.
- Enter the Cloud ID, the default user admin, and the device password printed on the label (or the one you set).
- Tap Save.
LAN scan — For cameras wired to the same router, choose LAN scan and the app lists every reachable device automatically.
3. Finish and verify
After the camera shows Online, open its live view to confirm video. Then rename it, set the time zone, and enable motion alerts in Settings.
