YESKAMO with ONVIF, RTSP and smart home

Does YESKAMO support ONVIF, RTSP, Home Assistant or Alexa? The practical reality and a how-to for pulling a camera stream into other systems.

A common advanced question: can you pull YESKAMO cameras into Home Assistant, a third-party NVR, or a smart-home dashboard? The honest answer is it depends on the specific camera model — support is not universal across the YESKAMO range.

Tested with the YESKAMO app v4.9.7 (June 2026). ONVIF/RTSP behaviour is set by the camera firmware, not the app, so check your model's manual at yeskamo.com/download-center before buying for integration.

What's actually supported

  • PoE and many wired cameras are the most likely to expose standard ONVIF and RTSP streams, which is what Home Assistant, Blue Iris and Synology Surveillance Station need.
  • Battery and solar Wi-Fi cameras often use a proprietary cloud connection and may not offer an open RTSP stream, because keeping a stream open drains the battery. Don't assume these will integrate.
  • The YESKAMO app itself has no ONVIF/Home Assistant export setting — these protocols are handled at the camera, not in the app.

How to find an RTSP URL

If your model supports RTSP, the typical format is:

rtsp://admin:PASSWORD@CAMERA_IP:554/...
  1. Find the camera's IP address from your router's connected-devices list, or use the app's LAN scan when adding a device.
  2. Use the device password you set during pairing (default user is admin).
  3. The exact path after the port (often /11 for main stream, /12 for sub stream, or a /Streaming/Channels/ style path) is listed in your camera's manual — paths differ between models.

Test the URL in VLC (Media → Open Network Stream) before wiring it into anything else. If VLC plays it, Home Assistant's Generic Camera or ONVIF integration will too.

Alexa and Google

YESKAMO does not advertise native Alexa or Google Assistant skills for live view in the app. If a model supports ONVIF/RTSP, you can bridge it through a hub like Home Assistant or Scrypted to reach Echo Show or Nest Hub displays — but that's a DIY route, not an official feature.

Bottom line

For guaranteed ONVIF/RTSP integration, choose a PoE or wired YESKAMO model and confirm in its manual first. If integration fails, the Troubleshooting guides cover offline cameras and network checks. For model-specific confirmation, email [email protected].
